It is amazing how a friend can make a day better. My day started off on the wrong foot from the moment I left the house. This afternoon I talked with a friend told her about the things that made my day a rough one and laughed about them with her. When I got off the phone I felt so much better. I smiled the rest of my day.
I came home to an email from another friend who told me he has thought of us back here, and figured that was Gods way of telling him to pray for us so he has been.
I have 2 who I have never met who live far away but I would count them as 2 of my closest. We all do youth ministry and we are all single women and when things are down or the kid is tough we talk to each other and help each other through. Help make the wise choice and offer the sympathy that only a girl friend can.
Friendship is such a blessing. To laugh with a friend is about all it takes to turn a bad day around sometimes. To be able to just be your self and not worry about what the other must think. To not worry about if you have crossed some line or boundary. To be accepted for who you are and to accept for who they are.
A friend can be as relaxing and refreshing as a nice bubble bath. Yet they still challenge and point you in the direction of Christ when you need it.
I thank you God for the friends you have put in my life.
