Stepping Out From the Shattered Place

The Lord has had me on an incredible journey. I finally feel like I am stepping out from the shattered place into Gods healing hands.

My Weekend

Ever wish you could blog while driving? I did this past weekend. My road trip left me with time to ponder.

My trip out was really rather bad. Traffic was horrible and the pouring rain was not helping one bit. It took 6 hours to travel what should have taken 3. Wall to wall 18 wheelers prevented me from getting on 95 in the correct direction and I ended up lost.

I received a call from the friend that I was going to see and she asked me to please becareful she felt that the evening of youth activities was under attack and she feared for my saftey. I think she was right.

When I was getting off 95 I asked the toll taker for help on how to get back to 95 in the direction I wanted to go. He didn't have a clue. His best advice was I could not turn around where I was. (No, I didn't ask if I could)

I did end up getting there and the youth event while short in numbers did turn out well. I am sorry that so many of them canceled at the last minute. The girls that came seemed to have a good time and they also seemed to hear what I spoke about. My topic was the cost of following Christ. When one of the girls said "I have been sinning and I didn't even know it." led me to believe they seemed to get something out of it.

Can you tell I had been up about 20 hours at this point? This was takem while I was speaking I was lucky to know my name. Good thing God was in control
I hope the message was heard I got a real sense that it was a needed message. The choices we make when we are teens makes an impact on the rest of our lives. To bad that as teens we are not thinking in terms of the big picture but in the here and now only.
I did some tourist stuff and saw some historic buildings on Saturday. Best thing was I spent the day with a friend. The kind of friend that you call when it's good or bad. The kind of friend that you can be cranky with and it is ok. Talking or not it's all good. It was a great day with a good friend.
