Stepping Out From the Shattered Place

The Lord has had me on an incredible journey. I finally feel like I am stepping out from the shattered place into Gods healing hands.

Tech is cool

One of the former youth is hooked on something called Facebook today I thought I would check it out. I signed up and allowed it to use one of my email address books to find people I know. I really only expected it to find the one girl who is always saying facebook is better then any of the other options.

To my surprise one of my distant cousins email popped up. It was not the cousin but her daughter. I have a large extended family and at one point I was very good at keeping up with them. I have slacked off in recent years I have had a hard enough time keeping up with the family here in the state and the ones that I am friends. The ones that are a bit more distant I have been remiss. I never get around to the Christmas card type things and over the years cards from them have stopped too.

The daughter (hear after I will call J) is in HS now and her picture is of a beautiful young women. She added me to her friend list. I sent her an email letting her know that the stranger contacting her was really not a stranger but her cousin. Once upon a time when she was a little girl she loved when I came to visit or when they came here. Even when J was very young and I thought for sure she would not remember from one visit to the next she remembered me. :-) Her Mother is 10 years older then I am so I was young and fun to play with. :-)

Maybe this modern technology will allow me to rebuild and be that cool big cousin again. :-)
