The Lord has had me on an incredible journey. I finally feel like I am stepping out from the shattered place into Gods healing hands.

Walk for Wheels for Ethan will be held at Roger Ludlowe High

The above link is to a website for a baby boy. When he was a few months old he was diagnosed with SMA. (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) which is the number one genetic killer of children under the age of two. At the time Ethan's Dr's told his parents he would not make it to his first birthday.

Ethan has proved to be a little trooper and is now 20 months old. Praise God. Many of you have heard of Ethan before because I have asked you to pray for him and his family.

The cost of medical equipment and therapy and nursing care is very expensive. Ethan's family is holding a fund raiser in May to raise money to buy a special power chair so Ethan can begin to move around and gain some independence. Picture a 2 year old running around. Ethan's family is trying to give him as normal a life as he can have for as long as he can have it.
I have been praying for Ethan since his Grandfather shared with me what he has been going through and Ethan's family knows that I have shared their story with many of my friends and they are keeping Ethan in pray too. They are thankful for the prayers from people who don't even know them. God is showing his love for this family through people reaching out to them in his name. They are more aware of God and who he is. I thought it would be great if we could show his love in a more tangible way. By coming out and helping them to raise the money they need to buy Ethan his first power chair.

If you would like to be a walker in the walk or have an idea for a good or service that can be raffled or auctioned of please let me know.

I think a large number of us coming together in God's name helping them meet a need would be a powerful message of God's love.
The Journal on Ethan's site has more details. The event will be at Roger Ludlowe High School in Fairfield from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m on May 6th.
