Stepping Out From the Shattered Place

The Lord has had me on an incredible journey. I finally feel like I am stepping out from the shattered place into Gods healing hands.

Random stuff

I enjoyed my birthday. I did not get to watch all the seasons of Waiting for God as I had planned, I was too busy doing the chores that I had not intended to do. I seem to have a problem not doing chores. I finished rebuilding a computer, cleaned the interior of two air conditions replaced the filters, washed and waxed the floors, and cleaned the bathroom worked on a study based on the book The Sacred Romance. I am working on the study to do long distance with one of my teens who is heading off to college. It is a challenge to develop something that will work long distance. I want to keep him engaged in the study without having the one on one contact. Any ideas or suggestions would be very welcome. :-)

I have been praying about what to do next with my life and I think I am going to go back to school. This is a path I have attempted before but life has always managed to get in the way. It seems so daunting to me. I also see where completing my education would benefit me in serving God as he calls me.

My birthday present to myself came in the mail today. I now have unlimited local and long distance for $20.00 a year. I know someone who has this device and there are no hidden charges and it works well. I used it tonight to talk with my friend Mel for a couple of hours. The service is a device that plugs into the usb port and a regular phone plugs into it. There is a slight airy quality to the sound but it is hardly noticeable and for $20.00 a year I can deal with that. I am hearing impaired and I could hear Mel just fine. I did have to go buy a phone since I didn't have one. I also treated myself to new ear phones. I really should stop spoiling myself this way!

Speaking of Mel check out her blog. She has recently relocated and has been blogging about her search for a new church. Some interesting insight into the process and good ideas on how to start searching.
