I heard some very disturbing things tonight at the meeting in the church that is splitting in two. I am not even through processing my own thoughts on this I will just put out the charges. My thoughts will come later. Your thoughts are welcome now.


The two that my mind is focusing on are youth related. My guess would be my call to and my love of Youth.

First a adult male youth leader (over 18 but not by much as I understand it) carried on a romantic relationship with a 14 year old girl. This was brought to the attention of the leaders and they took it to the Pastor who said he would take care of it. 8 months later when it was brought to the deacons by the mother of the male the issue was address. That was in October. Two weeks ago a trustee saw this couple together alone in a part of the church.


The second is the Jr High youth group was taught how to speak in tongues this past Sunday at the Jr Hi youth group meeting. Speaking in tongues is a spiritual gift given at the time you are saved if God chooses to give them to you. Spiritual gifts are not taught. One young women testified that she learned how to speak in tongues after praying for the gift repeatedly.
