Stepping Out From the Shattered Place

The Lord has had me on an incredible journey. I finally feel like I am stepping out from the shattered place into Gods healing hands.

Here is the question, as long as I keep my mind busy I do not think about the loss and I am fine. In the quiet hours of this morning as I drove to work well before the sun, my mind traveled to the past and memories that had tears in my eyes.

I think of all the potential she had and never really met.

I want to be past this point of crying at the drop of a hat, of memories flooding my mind and sentiment filling my heart.

Customers have asked what is wrong and done some sweet things to cheer me up.

I am just sad and I don't feel like cheering up. I try so hard to smile and be friendly. More then one person this week has said to me when I asked if they would like anything else, "Yes, how about one of your smiles".

Really I am trying. The question is, when will this sadness pass.

My dog is a strange dog.
She likes to watch movies, typically she doesn't watch when anyone is around. I think that is because she is more interested in the person who is visiting then in the movie. Today I turned on the movie signs, it was in the player from the other night and there wasn't anything on tv so I just started the movie. She seems to really like the movie. The dogs barking in the beginning caught her attention and now she is in the other room watching the movie. Perking up everything there music changes and the fx seem to have her paying close attention. Every time she puts her head down to take a nap something happens and she pops up and starts watching again, with her ears going like radar. I am not crazy the dog does watch TV and it was witnessed by someone else. I have one friend that she is comfortable enough when he is around that she will watch the TV, or, take a nap when he is around. That is after he has paid enough attention to her to make her happy and given her a carrot or two.

This friend is a dog person and she loved him from the first time he came over. She will let certain people in the house. Some can only come as far as the kitchen others she will let in further. There are some she will even just go with if they let her out and she will get in their car and go away for the weekend. She would not let them past the kitchen but she happily went in the car when asked if she want to go for a ride to see their dog. After she was in the car the friend was able to come inside and get her stuff for the weekend. The friend she will nap with in the house could come in and do as he pleases. Dogs are funny and they are good judges of character. This is one of the few people that I would let into the house full access. :-)

So the dog seems to have a new favorite movie. I guess the next word she will learn is Signs, so she can tell me when she wants to watch it.
